I've worked in manufacturing for the automotive industry and specialized in prototyping for the last two years. I have experience working with tight timelines and limited budgets and understand how to get creative on a project where components may not be in tolerance, but functional prototypes are required.

DFM - Design for manufacturing

I Provide feedback to consumer on their current designs in order to simplify manufacturing process down the road. I can help the customer tune their models so that they are not only optimized for molding and assembly, but also quality control.

I have taken numerous prototypes from initial 3D printed conceptual parts all the way down to functional soft tool samples. I have established a relationship with many local and foreign molding companies and understand the process behind building successful prototypes. Plastic Weld Joining Tools

I have designed a numerous plastic joining tools for assembly. I have 5 years of experience working with vibration, laser, sonic and spin welding technology for plastic. I am capable of designing vibration and laser weld tooling as well as the support tooling fixtures for spin and sonic welding. I design my tools to be steel safe and easy to tune to the plastic. This limits setup time to only a few hours once tools and components are in house and virtually eliminates the risk of re-manufacturing a new tool. I can work directly off of a 3D model of the assembly in question, a model or drawing of the welding environment, and a few answered questions about the project. After all information is received, I will return with a 3D model of the tool within 72 hours.

Assembly Equipment Design

I have designed many other components and fixtures for automated assembly cells. I have designed leak test tooling to conduct 100% leak tests after welding components, quality check fixtures, modified lift and locate tables as well as many other small assembly related tooling.
